• Artist Statement

  I took this picture while experimenting with night photography for the first time, and using long exposures. So while the picture is fairly bright, it was taken at around 10 PM. While editing it, I tried to keep the light dim to bring out the darkness of the picture, while still keeping enough light to show all the color present. I took the picture in my home town of an abandon pool. Ive been attempting to find and photograph abandoned places because they fascinate me. I want to document these places, as there constantly changing. Moreover I find it fascinating what these places, that once served a purpose, become after their disregarded by people.
