F.L.Y.E (Feel Like You're Everything)

The challenge of writing songs is an overwhelming endeavor. It is a very vulnerable process to put your feelings and emotions in musical form. While Steven Hawking was referring to books in the following quote, it is applicable to music as well. He stated, “writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people who never knew each other, citizens of distant epochs.” As I wrote “F.L.Y.E.,” my mind was filled with endless ideas for the story I wanted to share. Having to connect those ideas and themes for the song to meet its true meaning was extremely fatiguing. Many continuous days and nights were spent sitting, thinking, and reflecting on how to capture the emotion of the story. I learned the importance of digging deeper into my creativity and not letting the roadblocks along the journey discourage me from doing something I’m passionate about and love doing. In the end, I was able to write a song that many people enjoy and one that will always hit home for me because of my commitment to be innovative.

Music has enabled me to communicate emotions and messages that go beyond words. It is a haven; a place to connect universally with different cultures. Music gives a platform to share songs and creative ideas with the hope of touching, healing & captivating people. My creative opportunities in music mean everything.
