This is a poem that was never supposed to exist, according to society. Kids should always be quiet and bear burdens of unspeakable pain. But no longer. This poem is a mix of dialogue, counting down, and introspective thoughts. It's for the kids who feel an ocean but can only express a drop. It's for the gifted burnt out kids. It's for the kids who's inner child was hurt. The poem itself was really cathartic and exhilarating for me to write. I was inspired by the slam poem "Countdown to a School Schooting" from Valley International Prep. I did not plagiarize any work from it though.

Creativity to me, means expressing yourself to the fullest extent. Creating a patchwork quilt of feelings, emotions, and passion. Not making something out of nothing, but making everything out of something.
