Diamonds in the Sea

I wrote this song for my boyfriend for our one-year anniversary. I wanted to lyrically tell him how much I loved him and how much he's helped me shine. He had doubted himself in the past thinking that he was not doing enough. I wanted to convey that by just being there, he has given me strength that I never knew I had. And that is the power of love. It is hard to know whether you are going too fast or too slow in a relationship. And many times I had looked for a song or a quote to guide me. So maybe this song will help others understand that slow is a perfectly good, and okay speed. This is the first song I have ever written. The first verse talks about me as a kid. I was diagnosed with brain cancer at five, I was pulled out of school for about a year. And getting back to school when I was able brought up many challenges. The first verse highlights how I was vulnerable at this time, and sat in places of darkness. But I made it through with the support of my family and doctors. Then I tried to convey, in the rest of my piece that now I have Joey Edward Mighetto (my boyfriend) in my life with ample love to give me, and I know that my work paid off.

Creativity is a verb that describes a spark inside you that inspires an art piece. The motivation of that spark is unique, but it is there for a reason, and once you feel it it´s hard to ignore. Like is pulling me into an open door of possibility.
