• Artist Statement

  I love film photography for the reason that, at a distance, it reduces everyone to small specks of grain. Set that grain against an expansive background and it's like they never mattered. I started taking pictures because I thought I needed to be more interested in people. Ironically, photography detaches you from that. It makes you an observer of all the beautiful disgusting things that humans do. And it makes the world bigger than it was before.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity is never being bored. With or without my camera, I'm always taking snapshots of the things around me.
