This photograph was taken for my digital photography class for a creative portrait project. My model is my now 13 year old cousin who was happy to collaborate with me. My idea behind this was to create a kind of old timey styled photo that had a sense of mystery and mischievous. I wanted to use red as the “pop” in the photo to show a sense of scandal, and I wanted to enforce that with the classic red lip.

To me, creativity is about allowing yourself to think out of the box. It’s about letting all your wild ideas collide to create something new. It’s about expressing yourself and creating a unique story that represents in a sense who you are. It makes the ordinary, extraordinary.
