This is a self-portrait of how I navigate life with misophonia. Misophonia is a strong sensitivity to noise, and can often be overwhelming. I used my headphones as part of the ring of planets to show how they can center me. I actually find this portrait very beautiful, which I did not expect when I began it. Life with the volume turned up has a beauty of its own.

Creativity for me means expressing something that I haven't been able to yet. It takes creativity to connect with others since we all have such different experiences and frames of thought. Art gives me this ability.
