My entry is about a girl struggling with insecurities and body dysmorphia. It represents hope in overcoming self hatred and discovering self confidence. It is about growing mentally as a person through life. This piece can be very relatable, especially to teenagers. I chose this topic to show others that insecurity is a common thing and that they're not alone. Also I wanted to spread awareness on the topic. While writing this piece, I learned that people's differences make them unique and beautiful. The piece also goes into Eating Disorders which many people can struggle with at some point in their lives. In this piece the girl expresses her self hatred. However, at the end she is slowly going through the journey of overcoming it and getting help.
