A Plastic Home

Anonymous

Watercolor, mixed media paper, pencil.

  • This piece is meant to portray the beauty of nature, while also showing the damage we have caused to it with plastic pollution. The setting is years into the future when humans may have ceased to exist and animals have evolved to better fit a world dominated by plastic. It is painted with a hopeful feel to give the viewers a sense of peace even if this world has been destroyed, reminding people that no matter what happens, this planet can restore itself; though unfortunately not during our species’ existence.

  • Creativity to me means piecing together my inspirations and ideas to form something new and thought provoking. It means using my skills to learn new ones, connecting similarities between different mediums and processes and expanding my abilities.
