The Storm by F. Burgmuller

Pavitra S.

  • I have to admit that I actually recorded this just for fun. L'orage (The Storm) is one of my favorite pieces, and I just wanted to play it after a long day; I wasn't thinking about school or my troubles or the state of the world, but only the storm as it rages, and then begins to clear. And though I surely have more polished, "pretty" recordings, I think this one represents what music really is to me.

  • I enjoy playing and creating music any day, but I'm reminded of my love for it most during times of confusion or conflict. It's been my way to sort out my thoughts, figure out how I feel, or simply as a comfort, and I've found that with this outlet, things seem to fall into place sooner or later.
