the silence of a hospital room

Robyn K.

  • Recently I have been inspired to write pieces taking place in hospitals, as I find the setting lovely for creating an eerie vibe. This poem is one of those pieces. In this poem I experimented with seeing how much power I could put into single words or small sentences, and I am proud of how it turned out.

I thought it would be interesting to write about a body left in an abandoned hospital. It leaves the reader with a certain element of mystery, because they are left to imagine why the hospital is abandoned, and why the body was left there.

  • I use expressing my creativity as an outlet to process my emotions. Art of all kinds means a lot to me, and it has always been an escape from the chaos of my life.
