The Passion

Misha K.

  • In sophomore year I was in a poetry class where we studied different techniques and terms related to poetry. We would also practice creative writing. During the duration of the class I found myself writing extra poems not part of the classwork just because I wanted to write what was on my mind. I wrote a poem about how hard it might be for one to present something that they care about, a poem about a caged animal, and a poem about passion, an indescribable feeling.

  • Expressing my creativity brings me happiness. Having the ability to put my thoughts into something physical is both fun and freeing. A thought is unstructured, out of balance, and chained in my mind. On paper, the thought becomes something I can be proud of.
