• Artist Statement

  If you search strawberry on search engines, these red fruits will probably show up shaped with a round top and triangular bottom. The strawberry in this photo's only round. Almost looking like a tomato. But the way it looks doesn't change the taste here.

  This photo reminds me of how even produce that looks wonky can still be delicious on the inside. Even if it isn't shaped pretty enough to be displayed at a grocery store. It reminds us to look past the odd appearances of the resources around us and still appreciate it.

  I also think it's cool that parts of nature can imitate others. Like how the Polyphemus Moth seems to have eyes on it's wings. Or how this strawberry looks like a tomato.

• Creative Statement

  Having the ability to creatively express myself allows me to share and create things from my mind. Feelings that might be hard to explain with just words. Exploring my creativity allows me to grow new ideas and be open to new mindsets and ideas. As opportunities to be creative surrounds all of us.
