• Artist Statement

  My photography aims to walk the line between reality and a dream-like state. Something I hope manages to be beautiful and be vulnerable with my experiences with anxiety. There are times when my anxiety overwhelms me and makes me feel like nothing is real, even though I know it is. It's horrifying but I also want people to understand how uncanny it makes everything feel. When I get a photo to have smears of color and light in almost unnatural ways I feel it best represents that. Which is why I named this piece "Purgatory", after the state between life and death.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity for me is how I process and cope with the world around me. The art I create allows me to show my view of the world in a way others can interpret.
