I am playing the Gavotte en Rondeau from Bach's Partita #3. I put a lot of hard work and time into practicing this piece. One example of my artistic process was my improvisations in the theme. Because this piece is a rondo, it repeats a theme many times, and playing it over and over again can get boring both for me and the audience listening. I solved this by improvising ornamentation, a process that took days to complete. I had to make sure the ornamentation kept in line with my interpretation of the piece and didn't repeat. Most importantly, it had to be original.

Exploring and expressing my creativity helps bring joy into my life. Every time I play my violin, I feel happy to make beautiful music. Playing violin after an especially long day helps relieve stress and calm me down, all the while creating music.
