I took this photo with my film camera for a project on "city life" when I was visiting relatives in NYC. After a long day of walking around the city, I was at the end of my roll, and I happened to glance at a nearby clothing brand advertisement. The image of the balloon floating freely through the sky juxtaposed with the hustle and bustle of the city was beautiful to me. I wanted to capture that interaction, so I raised my camera and clicked the shutter.

Taking photos is very therapeutic for me. When I am photographing, I'm not thinking about anything except for the image, and my mind is clear. It has become my escape from stress, and an integral part of my life.
