Inferno Glow

Emily E.

  • The title of this photo is Inferno Glow. My goal in taking this photo was to contrast different light colors and show the beauty of fire. This photo also has an elegant bravery to it because the subject looks so calm even though something dangerous is really close to her. Although it may not look like it, I took this photo in the kitchen. I set up a black background and turned the lights on low. My idea for this photo was to play with different colors of light using the orange light of the fire and the white light from my ceiling. I also chose to take the photo with the subject facing the side to really show the length of the flame and her side profile.

  • Exploring and expressing my creativity impacts my life in a very positive way. My life is very busy and having a creative outlet like photography is important to me. It gives me a way to decompress from everything going on in my life and focus on my art.
