I Was Never Better

Spencer M.

  • This piece is something that I had been thinking about for a really long time. It is based off of a scene of a movie that I am writing about two childhood friends reuniting thirty years later at a café in Paris. Both of their lives have been nothing but horrific since they parted ways and they both see the reunion as the start of something new; a second chapter of life. The themes of this poem are longing and the empowering nature of true friendship.

  • Expressing my creativity allows me to dive deeper into my myself and get a better understanding of my thoughts and why I think those those things. It helps me articulate what I am feeling.
