• Artist Statement

  When using my camera to film or photograph, I love to search for something ordinary that I can make unique. I live near a beautiful marsh, so I often realize that something I find so normal can be expressed as something completely different when captured in just the right way. I don't use any editing (except cropping) in my photography, although on some occasions I use filters. I try to ensure that the filter won't change the inherent nature of the work it is representing, but will enhance the image in a way that better represents reality.

• Creative Statement

  With my camera, I capture moments, engage objects, and bring attention to what others may often see as mundane. By exploring photography and film, I can highlight my own perspective on life and find a unique way to communicate with the world.
