• Artist Statement

  This photo was taken down a hallway at Herbst Theater. I laid the camera down on the ground to get a picture of the staircase and the reflective floor. I noticed that the photo looked better in black and white because of the random signs adding unwanted color in random areas.

• Creative Statement

  It helps me pay attention to detail. Until I started photography, I've never looked at or considered the detail to every object in a room. Now when I photograph, I get to look at the lighting and every little detail that makes up a picture.
