• Artist Statement

  "Fracture" is a photograph that explores the themes of fragility, beauty and transformation. The image captures a tattered tissue, symbolizing the idea that even in our moments of vulnerability and brokenness, there is a sense of beauty and growth. The vivid purples in the photograph represent the hurt and bruises of the human experience, but the yellow light from below suggests the hope and change that can come from our struggles. This photograph was taken during a personal moment of tears and emotions, but ultimately serves as a reminder that our fractures in life can lead to growth and new beginnings. The photograph's composition and color palette aim to evoke emotions and thoughts about the human experience of pain and healing.

  Creativity has been a powerful tool for my self-growth. Through creating, I discovered my inspirations and could see from a different perspective. It connects me with my cultural heritage, and who I am. It's my way to tap into my inner self, what speaks to me, and what motivates me.
