Starting as just an elective class and free period photography quickly grew into an escape from day-to-day life. Offering a form of expression I have been able to express myself through a simple shot of life. Throughout the last year and a half I have developed my skills from enlarging a photo in the darkroom to shooting portraits of people. Since taking up photography, I have formed a stronger relationship with my grandfather. My grandpa has taken photos his entire life starting with film moving to digital photography in more recent years. Photography has even pushed me to spend more time in nature observing the beauty of each situation. Starting as just a class has helped shape my perspective in my life, teaching me to observe the meaning of each minute and place in my day.
