• Artist Statement

  My class took a field trip to Chinatown where we saw multiple performances. When I saw the dancers come out and go into their beginning poses I thought that the ribbons would make a really good photo, especially in motion. As a gymnast made it easier to anticipate when the dance would jump which helped me photograph the moment.

• Creative Statement

  It allows me to express how I feel and center myself in times of stress.
