• Artist Statement

  I chose to study Cantabile et Presto because of the French conservatory style of openness and freeness in sound.

• Creative Statement

  Through flute, I explore phrasing, vibrato, and tone colors, providing me with an emotional outlet and vessel for expression. My most poignant memory was achieving my dream of playing in the California All-State Honor Band, performing “Homage to the Dream,” which was met with a standing ovation.
