Making Room Music Video
This video was a project I worked on during my sophomore year when the world went into lockdown. This project allowed me to reflect on the beauty of chaos. Despite everything that was going on in the world, I was learning more about myself, my identity, and who I was.
Courage
My artistic process is quite simple. I come up with an idea for a film quite randomly. I then formulate that idea into something more concrete with basic storylines. I then pitch this idea to a group of fellow filmmakers to hear feedback. Taking that into account, I further develop my idea into a full story.
Masking
"Masking", is a short film I made for an in-class assignment. My Film teacher had just pitched to us our new project: a nightmare dream sequence using symbolism. Immediately I had no clue what to do but after some thinking and brainstorming, I came up with a short, simple idea that would do the trick efficiently.
Blood Bank
My work is an homage to classic Hollywood films that have built the foundation for the movies that we watch today.
Dream State
This film experiments with ideas of surrealism and touches on the expression of certain feelings through a dream-like sequence.
I Won
The poem is about only being looked at for your successes and not for the struggles that you have to go through to reach them. This film is me preforming this piece, I could I submitted it as a creative writing piece but to understand it fully it must be spoken and heard not only written and read.
back to soccer
The story is inspired from my true story, I hope this film can let audiences to feel my expression.
Monster Teeth
It is a comedic short film that emphasizes how dialogue can make a more cohesive film.
Impatient Brother
At the time of watching this film, I was in the middle of the process of going to a new school which felt like it would be a foreign and scary place to me, something that the boy in the movie also faced. This connection I have with the film made me learn to try experiences before I make a judgment.
coding or something
I have virtually no experience in filmmaking, so I decided to make the subject of this film pertain to something I am familiar with. That's why I decided to make a comedic film about the nightmare of coding.
Until I Moved to Oakland
This film was about the cultural identities that defines me. Beliefs that I grew up believing because of my upbringing and ethnicity. Things that were taught to me as a child.
ADDA Manmohini
This particular piece is choreographed by me and demonstrates how art doesn't know boundaries and can be beautifully merged seamlessly.
Overprotection
My artistic process involved iteration and advancements through my artwork after being provided with feedback.
concept 01
Although this is a short 15-second video, this edit took me 15 days and 6 hours to complete; while some people think that editing requires too much dedication and effort, it was not a waste of my time at all. I absolutely had fun playing around with different shapes, adding layers, and creating my own transitions from scratch.
