• Artist Statement

  My artwork is an octagonal structure made of wooden dowels. I have used octagons and hexagons within my previous works, and this one is no different. The piece is inspired somewhat by an alien spaceship, with the long sprawling legs coming out of both the top and the bottom of the structure. I utilize differences in color within the center of the piece. The central square elements are painted white, while the rest of it is painted a light periwinkle blue.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to me is one of the easiest ways to express yourself. We do it in various ways each day. To me, it is one of the best ways to express who you are as a person, and sometimes the way you demonstrate your creativity can even reveal more of who you are as a person than describing yourself.
