• Artist Statement

  Take something ugly, sad, or depressing and make it beautiful. I've never been a fan of my eyes, they're uneven and people have told me that I often have a death stare or gaze. I have huge bags under them because of lack of sleep and hyperpigmentation. Instead of viewing those qualities with disgust, I decided to highlight those and show them in a new style that radiates beauty, confidence, and strength through this picture.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity to its core means expression. It's sharing every part of yourself from your passion, your emotions, your joy, your sadness, everything. Creativity is allowing me to let go of reality and indulge in myself. It's a moment where everything feels right in the world and you can exist freely.
