• Artist Statement

  Not far from my house in San Francisco, I spotted this seemingly average building face. However the bright colors and faux front caught my eye. It was difficult to create a composition that I felt captured in a fascinating way. My goal was to capture the personality of these San Francisco-style homes with an emphasis on bright color and crisp lines. In the editing process, I wanted to accentuate the division between the three different sections and the way the black telephone wires sliced through the image.

• Creative Statement

  To me, creativity is being able to capture the way I see the world around me from an original unique perspective. Photography pushes me to see things in a more critical way and allows me to capture things that feel important to me and share them in a creative fashion with the world.
