Preservation
This photograph illustrates the dichotomy between freedom and security through the use of the multiple exposure technique. The photograph was composed of several separate images which had been edited into a single frame; and these images include a mountain slope, a forrest landscape, a lake scene, and a cloud. Despite the fact that the pristine landscapes contained within the jars are shielded from external influence, they remain a pale imitation of nature in a free state, which is reflected by the escaping cloud. The cloud becomes increasingly solid as it exits its container, although the vibrance of the sky contained within the jar appears to fade into the grey background, revealing the consequences of freedom.
Last Light
This photo was taken up on Mt. Tamalpais. The fog was flowing over a ridge on the east side of the mountain, and I hiked down this dirt road to get a unique vantage point. The light was very interesting as it was starting to disappear and the fog had very intense textures. I decided to take a long exposure to exaggerate the light and the textures on the fog.
Online School
I made this movie at the beginning of quarantine when everyone was first getting used to online school. It's a spoof on the challenges of studying at home.
Like Clockwork
Hannah, a college-age girl being rehabilitated for her nicotine addiction at Sunrise House Rehab center, hears a mysterious ringing from the old, abandoned garden next door at night. Ignoring the rules surrounding the garden, she ventures in one night. This fantastical horror-comedy is an incredible watch for any audience member, and will be sure to keep you on your toes until the end.
I Saw No Way by Jonathan Dove
“I Saw No Way” by Jonathan Dove is a four part treble voice piece with words from Emily Dickinson's “I Saw No Way the Heavens Were Stitched”. I used the “Acapella” app to layer my voice for each part and produced it myself on the app.
Animal Crossing
“Animal Crossing” is a comedic-styled short script that emcompasses the horrors of being walked in on during zoom with a problematic man-child husband prone to temper tantrums. Diane and Jake have faced many problems in the marriage so far, but when cooped up in a studio apartment and forced to live there for the better half of a year, things reach a new level.
