Fischer’s Lovebird

Micron Pen and Embroidery Floss

This project was originally used as a very prized art piece for the art program I am currently enrolled in. I decided I really liked the piece so I’m using it here too! I started out with the drawing of the Fischer’s Lovebird from a field trip to Safari West. Using my Micron pen, I drew very small lines to keep up the texture of the small feathers. Keeping it going, adding the beak and the smaller feather details and the little wrinkles by the eyes. I finished drawing my bird! I then went color by color adding the designs from the colors of the flag where Fischer’s Lovebord is from. Tanzania. With greens blues and yellows. Using black as a good middle ground, and also a color of the flag. This is my favorite piece I’ve ever made! Especially in that art program at my High School.

Creativity means to me, the ability to create, and do it intellectually, and confidentially. It means that you can take a specific prompt and go wild with it to the best of your abilities.
