Once a Hero

My short fiction story is about a villain who was once a hero. When I started writing, I thought about books that I read. Inspired by morally grey characters’ complexity and that “life is not always black and white,” I decided to write a story embracing these characters since readers, including myself, usually question if these characters’ actions are “good” or “bad.” I choose to have my story take place during the final battle, which is influenced by how most stories end after the “hero” wins the last battle against the “villain”. However, the ending of my story causes the reader to wonder about the events before this final battle and question if the main character is a “villain”, a “hero”, or a “grey” character.

Creativity helps me open my imagination to create something new. To express my creativity and imagination, I write stories, ranging from fantasy to realistic fiction, because every story has a purpose to be read.
