This piece is a drawing of me and my mom from my childhood. Over the years my mom and I have been growing closer parent and child relationship wise, and I wanted to express my appreciation and my love for her through this piece. I used colored pastels for this artwork.

Exploring and expressing my creativity really helps me relax and take my mind off of stress from school. It also really helps me express my thoughts and ideas that I can't convey into words. Overall, my creativity really helped me build patience and seeing the world in a different light.
