Holy Instrument

Donis L.

  • I recreated a small guitar made of up-cycled cardboard, hot glue, an old disc for realistic detail, and wire for strings. I hand-cut all the pieces and glued them together which was the hardest part. In the end, I painted it with black acrylic paint to give it a stained wood look and a masculine feel. Lastly, I added a handmade paper flower to decorate the guitar and add a feminine touch. This is my first time working with cardboard and recycled materials. It was fun and challenging making this guitar. This project made me feel like a real artist and gave me the confidence to make anything and do anything I believe in. I would do this again but I would make a different instrument.

  • I created this upcycled art called Holy Instrument using cardboard, hot glue, wire, and an old cd. Exploring recycle material in a new way helped me express my creativity and my passion for music. I was inspired by church and the songs I played in church.
