Greeting

Gabriella D.

  • This piece was made to push my own personal boundaries, seeing how well I could carve and transfer a complicated composition with details and perspective. The look of a linoleum block print reminded me of postcards and stamps, so I took that idea towards creating a greeting card for this fictional "Clenton." With a medium so complicated and a enthusiastic spirit, I used the materials to prove that I could express my ideas no matter the medium.

  • My art allows me to explain emotions I can't put to words and capture moments I can’t describe. When life moves so fast that my thoughts become meddled, I know I can use art and my creativity as an outlet. In the end, stepping back and seeing my indescribable feelings finally said, it is relieving.
