• Artist Statement

  Medium: Acrylic on canvas board

  In my AP art class we are told to choose a theme to base all of our pieces on throughout the course, and this artwork is one of those pieces. My theme is called "The Beauty of Objects" and in this piece I wanted to convey the subtle beauty of architecture, more specifically interior design, and how contrasting colors and textures bring out inner beauty. I also took inspiration from Victorian furniture and wall decor when choosing the elements of the piece.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity has impacted my life in many ways including the way I perceive the world and express myself. I have always used creativity to improve my innovative thought processes as well as experiment with different styles and mediums artistically. It allows me to look and create things differently.
