This painting has embarked on a journey with me. I've been slowly working on it every moment I can. In many cases, it has served as an escape from the busy world. I was always able to lock myself in my room, put in my headphones, and start painting. Many aspects of my piece are direct effects of my mindset at the time of painting. Finishing this piece has felt like closing a chapter in my life.

Painting allows me to express many of the complex emotions that I have kept bottled up throughout my life. It serves as a constant comfort and catharsis in my life that has greatly removed stress. Through art, I have been able to explore and discover more about who I am.
