Etude Op.8 No.12 by A. Scriabin

Julian L.B.

  • I have learned the Scriabin Etude op. 8 no. 12 since October 2022. I have spent two months before then learning the piece, and receiving instruction to aid this process. I have performed this piece twice in the Berkeley piano club (May 2022) and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (November 2022). Even after learning the piece, I have continuously received instruction from different teachers. I am continuing to use this piece in my college audition, and for future performances.

  • This impacts my life because being creative is a lifestyle. My personal definition of what it means to be creative, is to constantly be re-invented; making one's art to be new every time it is shared with an audience and yourself. One can always develop if there are infinite ways of expressing art.
