Distracting Myself

Through four sequential panels, the artwork depicts a figure undergoing subtle and dream-like changes. The character design drew inspiration from visual kei rock artist Miyavi.
The character is depicted as initially ambivalent, surrounded by unidentifiable figures in the background to represent something that might be unpleasant. Eventually, the character finds a guitar within this dream-like state and the panels transform both in color and tone - the character's state transforms from just looking like a boring character to having more personality in the end. The character's journey from a morose state to joyful serenity is reflected in the journey of its creation.
This is a reflection of my own artwork: it makes me question if I like it or not the answer is not always yes.

I like drawing and painting as a way to meditate. Sometimes, I am also inspired by a particular event in my day or sometimes by my imagination. My style is influenced by Japanese manga.
