  • I tend to have a lot of physical sensations associated with my anxiety and depression that I have a hard time explaining, and visual art lets me draw it out in a more cohesive way. With art, I am able to better understand parts about myself and how my mind works. I usually begin creating art by really sitting in whatever feeling I am currently having. I then pinpoint what caused it, and music that fits the vibe of my head space. After that I just put my feelings and sensations on paper.

  • Expressing my creativity through film gave an outlet when I didn't feel comfortable talking to people about what I was going through at home and in my head. I also had the opportunity to create the queer, trans, and Jewish representation that I always wish I had.
