Tentative is a string quartet written for Argus Quartet's Composer Institute. It is an exploration of texture, rhythm, and harmony. Some extended techniques used are col legno, sul ponticello, and Bartok pizzicato. I was also heavily inspired by film music and aimed to capture that drama and suspense.

“Creativity” means something that is a core part of me, something I’ll keep cultivating despite obstacles. For me, creativity means music performance and composition. Even when I’m tired or have writer’s block, I still strive to play in a way that honors and elevates the piece and compose something.
