Nature in the eyes of a phone

In love with nature, I wish to bring the memory of the landscape I see before me. On my trip to Lake Tahoe with classmates, I was able to witness the beauty of calmness without the company of cell phone service. But sometimes I tend to forget to live in the moment, pulling out my phone to snap one, two, and soon five photos as soon as I reached a new environment. Surrounded by nothing but pine and fir trees, it was a refreshing experience away from all the commotion and loud noises of San Francisco. Using the program Sketchbook (previously known as Autodesk Sketchbook), I captured my sights through the eyes of my phone with awe, acting as the mirror between my own eyes and the horizon before me. The golden and darker shadows represent the phone hindering my sights, with the reflection of the fir trees in front.

To me, creativity means to express unspoken emotions and ideas through physical mediums. But beyond that, its the vast imagination and connection that I have to the world I know. Turning ordinary into extraordinary, its something that you can share with others, and shapes the way I see the world.
