Train of Thought

Music, to me, has always meant a safe space. The keyboard is a place for me to process everything. Once I decided that I wasn’t a journalist, or someone who liked to talk to others about their feelings, I turned to my music. So, to make Train of Thought from my emotional state to reality as a piece of music, I first looked to how I would hear in music how I felt. To state this more simply, my general artistic process was to go to the piano whenever I felt strongly emotional, and just play. Play whatever came to mind, however I thought I could convey my feelings best. A compilation of my prettiest and most impactful sounding emotions comes to light in Train of Thought.

Creativity, to me, means a way of expressing myself through another medium where simple words would fail. Without creativity, I would be lost when I sit down at the piano to play. I need it to take emotion, or feeling, or the vaguest thought and transform it into music.
