This is a piece I choroeogaphed about finding your voice. Throughout my time in high school, I struggled with advocating for myself and finding my own voice. Through my dance training, I found a way to express myself and how I was feeling through movement. The song I chose resonated with me because of the artist's repetition of the word "speak." In this peace, I choreographed based on the emotions the song gave me. I chose two dancers in the 8th grade that I wanted to push to break out of their shell and start adding emotion to their movement quality. I connected the most with them, because they remind me myself when I started my dance training in the 8th grade.
