This piece, Mister Magic, was an exploration into my artistic process. I have been creating pieces for myself and others for the past three years. Mister Magic however, is the most genuine work that I have ever created, barring my improvisation. Mister Magic allowed for me to freely create within the odd new age form without any feelings of doubt. The main artistic element that I kept in mind the whole time was intention, especially given how freeing this experience has been creating a piece not bound by, but released from the confines of outside influence. Creating individuality as a young artist especially in this age when you can find inspiration everywhere is extremely difficult. Mister Magic has allowed me to create individuality within my dance and style, opening up for greater exploration and creation in the future.

Without creating what do we even leave behind? I want to be able to leave a piece behind in an art form that derived from Black America. To be able to collaborate as an Asian American and link myself to the past and the future in one moment.
