Artist Statement: Most of the best stories I’ve written have been about criminals or religion. This is about both, kind of I think that Catholicism is a hereditary disease that skips generation, and as a child of two very lapsed Catholics, it’s my turn to be obsessed with guilt and atonement.

I'm sure this is what everyone says, but creativity is my outlet. It's not an oasis, though. Writing is hard, and not always purely fun. It doesn't have to be fun. It gives me a place to put my thoughts so they don't rattle around in my brain and drive me insane.
