This was a group project. We went to Fisherman's Wharf, Hyde Street Pier, and paid $15 dollars to tour ancient boats. We filmed there. We wanted to tell a ghost story of sorts. One that would reference the seafaring history of San Francisco, the globalism of another, more time-consuming era. When to travel to another place was months on the sea. We were inspired by old sea shanties; sailors would see women/ghosts haunting the boats. I played the woman/ghost. I actually jumped into the Bay to film this scene underwater. Is the it the woman who is haunted or the viewer?

I feel that telling stories is the essence of life. All cultures tell stories. Stories are our past and our present; also our future, When I was a kid, I wrote songs to share how I felt. Now filmmaking allows me to tell stories that I don't fully yet understand. Stories that I may understand soon.
