Ok

Ok is an honest and unforced retelling of my experiences in high school. It showcases how easy it is to be overshadowed by those around you and the feelings that come with it.
When writing this piece, I didn’t force myself to hold back and frame things in a more positive light, instead opting for a story that I felt connected to.
When reading this story you can notice changes in mood as our narrator progresses through her thought process. It also highlights some more unwanted thoughts, and as the narrator struggles with her mind, she has to come to terms with the expectations put upon her.
The narrator has an apathetic view towards both life and her situation, in a way that shows a person who is just starting to question their place in the hierarchy. She starts by remarking on her situation and ends with sad acceptance.
Overall this piece is real and allows the reader to understand a very unknown point of view.

It's a way for me to vent and express myself in a way I don't in real life.
