Life Eternal

I wrote two poems this year about man's relationship with Earth. One is about someone who's lived far longer than they should have, to the point where they wake up to the same nothing every day. The second is about a man returning to the town in which he grew up, and dealing with the flood of memories that come back to him.
Because poetry has no rules, I decided to write these poems as short stories, in the sense where there are more sentences per line than normal. I think it creates a different voice that fits more with the content I'm writing about. I love both poems, and am extremely happy with how they turned out.

Creativity saves me from conforming to the blandness that this world has to offer. It allows me to stop thinking about anything else, and give everything in that moment to art.
