Writing poetry consists of a lot of thinking, whereas the actual process of putting words down onto a page feels much more liminal and never quite occurs in a linear fashion. I tried to explore the abstract poetry that I find exists quite often in math/science. Although hard sciences seem impersonal and rigid, I think science is full of creative discovery and its partakers need the guts to explore, daydream, and dabble in some thought-poetry when tackling challenging experiments and theories.

I think creativity is essential to living a fulfilled and rewarding life. Through writing, I get to examine the world around me and find insight in the little things, all of which brings me much joy and helps me become a more interconnected and empathetic individual.
