Koi Fish

For this koi fish piece, the media I used was acrylic paint. This is a piece I worked on at the art class I attend outside of school. My teacher showed me a few samples for my acrylic piece and I chose the koi fish one. When I paint, I like to work on several places all at once. First starting on all three koi fish, then the lily pads, and then the water and rocks. Along the way, I was constantly adding more and more details and changing up parts I wasn't completely satisfied with. After about 2 months this was the outcome!

Being creative allows me to relieve stress on other things that can be going on in my life. For me this would include art and music. Whenever I attend art class or I'm simply drawing at home and listen to some of my favorite music, I immediately feel more relaxed and focused with what I'm doing.
